Witches and Bats

Witches and Bats Awesome set of paper minis! The witches and bats would work very well in a Ravenloft/Curse of Strahd adventure or campaign. The witches would also work well as hags in any fantasy rpg. I haven't used the witches yet in my own 5E campaign, but have used the bat swarm and giant bats in a Halloween adventure. You can see pictures and read the write-up of the adventure here: https://thulaen.wordpress.com/2017/09/01/session-6-grim-mano-

Heroic Maps - Storeys: Haunted Mansion Great Haunted House battlemaps! I found them just in time for Halloween. I'm building a horror/trap haunted house game (D&D 5e) based on these maps. I like the detail of the spider webs, and the decay on the tables, and flooring. I also like how the maps align with the floor maps above or below it. It makes my map transitions on my VTT that much easier, where i can prepopulate the tokes on the next map. Aligning them on Roll20 wasn't that hard at all. Very easy. Thanks for your work! P.S. I also have my eye on that Inca/Aztec temple battle maps too.. :) ...

Heroic Maps - Modular Kit: Catacomb Tunnels So it's always very easy to review these products from Heroic Maps because basically they are the best. The qulaity design of the maps, the artistry and the competitive price make these my go to maps for whenever I need something new. I've downloaded quite a few of these now, varying from the modular kits to the battle maps and they have all been of the highest quality.

Squad Hammer. Dirt simple gaming for many settings..or all of them These are good, fun, basic rules. Just basic enough to memorize. Just complicated enough to keep things interesting.

Heroic Maps - Idn Kar Wastes: Ruined Base

Heroic Maps - Idn Kar Wastes: Ruined Base This is my first experience with Heroic Maps, mainly because most of their maps haven't seemed to fit the theme I've been looking for. This one was close enough, so I gave it a try. The print looks great, the grid lines are easily visible, but don't draw my attention away from the map. I am excited to try it out. The only down side came with printing as the only print options are full map or sections on A4 size. Because there was white space around the map sections, I was hopeful that printing the A4 to letter (8.5"x11") without changing the scale might work. Alas, it chopped a little too much off the ends, so I figured out how to make a band that included the missing material to tie the two halves together. As this is the only Heroic product I've tried, I don't know if others provide a letter-size print format or not. In my opinion, this is not a huge deal and doesn't change the quality of the map. If you know beforehand that their sections on A4 don't translate well to lett...

DEADLY MISSIONS: 3rd Edition: Return to Merlantis

DEADLY MISSIONS: 3rd Edition: Return to Merlantis See my review of 'Deadly Missions 2nd Ed. - The Portal' for my main thoughts about the game... The 3rd edition of Deadly Missions is chiefly just a case of more is more. More characters, more creature tokens, more villains and another tile set to romp around on. For me thats easily worth the price alone. There are however a few more things worth considering though... 1. The rulebook has been improved. It's a little clearer and has a slightly better layout. 2. There are some new abilities that are great additions. particularly the ruthless 'Swashbuckler'! 3. We have water creatures/characters/villains and new rules for them. 4. There are now blank templates and a point system for creating your own characters, villains or creatures. In short, there's more new content than you can shake a stick at, the game has been improved and you now have all you need to create your own custom content. Definitely worth purchasing!...

Crossroads, Closing the Gap Commendable depth of historical information and excellent maps. An underappreciated (at least in the US) but critical piece of the Normandy campaign.
